• People with Significant Control (PSCs): Anyone who owns or controls more than 25% of a company, or otherwise exercises significant control, must also verify their identity.
• LLP Members: Designated members of limited liability partnerships fall under the same requirements.

• New Directors: Before you're appointed. 
• Existing Directors: By your company's next confirmation statement. 
• New PSCs: Within 14 days of becoming a PSC. 
• Existing PSCs: Within 14 days of your company's confirmation statement date if you're also a director, or within the first 14 days of your birth month if you're not.

Usually a current photo ID such as a passport or driving licence. We'll confirm exactly what's needed when you get in touch.

Once we've verified your identity, Companies House emails your 11-character personal code directly to you.

Yes. You can verify for free with GOV.UK One Login. Using an ACSP like us is an alternative if you'd rather we handle it, or if the online route doesn't work for you.

 Companies House may reject filings, and failing to verify when required can be an offence for both the individual and the company.
